Primary 5/6 worked collaboratively to create a BIG piece of art! Everybody made a ghost and bat to add to the picture, and different tasks were allocated to cut and stick other pieces of the picture.

New Skills

Primary 5/6 have been learning to cross stitch. It can take a lot of patience just to thread the needle! They have been working really hard to do it independently and to learn how to stitch. It has been great to see the determination and positive growth mindset of the class as they learn this new skill!

Outdoor Learning

Every Wednesday morning (this term), Primary 5/6 will be exploring and learning about the outdoors with Miss Guthrie. The class took a trip to the canal and were able to collect some water and weed. Up close, it was possible to see the minibeasts found in the water. P5/6 will continue to explore and learn about ecosystems and the importance of caring for our local environment and its wildlife.

Costume Design Project

This week, P5/6 were set a task to design a Halloween costume. The design brief stated that it should be something suitable for children aged 3 to 6. The task involved planning and designing before making part of the costume as a prototype to show others. At the end of the week, we evaluated how successful each design was.
